**Origin:**

Derived from the vibrant town of Deri Kidame in the Guji zone of Oromia, Ethiopia, their coffee boasts a unique flavor profile nurtured by the area's fertile red-brown soil and shaded by Cordia Africana and Acacia Ensete ventricosum trees. The coffee farms, situated at elevations of 2000-2100 meters, contribute cherries to the Deri Kidame washing station.

**Processing and Traceability:**

Undergoing a meticulous Natural processing method, the cherries are carefully sorted to remove less dense fruit before being laid on raised drying beds for approximately 18 days. The washing station, equipped with 10 fermentation tanks and 181 raised drying beds, ensures superior traceability through individual codes assigned to each bed, allowing for precise control and monitoring during the drying process.

**Post-Harvest Processing:**

Following the drying process, the coffee is prepared for export at Tracon Trading’s cutting-edge coffee cleaning and storage plant in Addis Ababa. The facility, spanning 30,000 sq meters, utilizes modern Pinhalense coffee processing machines and a Buhler Z+ color sorter, capable of processing six tons per hour. The final touch involves a meticulous hand sort on conveyor belts, ensuring only the finest beans make it through. With six storage silos boasting a capacity of approximately 15,000 metric tons, the plant's clean and well-ventilated warehouses maintain the coffee's quality.

**Geographical Information:**

Their commitment to transparency extends to providing precise geographical details. The coffee hails from the Guji zone, specifically the Hambela woreda and Deri Kidame kebele. The ECX Growing Area is identified as Guji, offering a comprehensive understanding of the coffee's origin.

**About Guji Zone:**

Situated in the Oromia Region, the Guji Zone showcases the rich diversity of Ethiopian coffee culture. Spoken in the Oromo language, the region is known for its distinctiveness from woreda to woreda. As the coffee industry flourishes, more small washing stations are being established in Guji to meet the demand for improved processing. The Ganale Dorya river serves as the principal fresh water source and defines the boundary with the neighboring Bale zone to the east.
