Origin & Sourcing
This lot comes from smallholder producers in Chapada de Minas, located in southeastern Brazil. The region’s rolling hills, warm daytime temperatures, and cool nights create ideal conditions for dense, sweet cherries. Although Brazil is known primarily for natural processing, this washed lot offers a standout example of clarity and smooth sweetness from the region.
Imported by Cofinet, this coffee aligns with their “Favela” sourcing profile—focused on clean, classic Brazilian flavor without the heavy fruit character typical of naturals.
Processing
At Sítio Boa Vista and neighboring farms, cherries are:
Handpicked at peak ripeness
Pulped and fully washed to remove all mucilage
Dried slowly on patios for even structure and sweetness
The washed method highlights Brazil’s chocolate and nut-forward profile while adding brightness and polish.
Cup Experience
Expect a cup that is:
Silky and balanced
Naturally sweet
Chocolatey with toasted nut character
Finished with a subtle citrus lift
This is an excellent all-day coffee—comforting, smooth, and dependable across manual or automatic brewing.
