At Kafiex Roasters, we’re on a mission to redefine your relationship with coffee. Founded and proudly based in Vancouver, Washington, our story began at local farmers markets and has grown into one of the Pacific Northwest’s most awarded specialty coffee roasters.
Led by co-founders Matthew and Seidy Selivanow, our commitment to quality, sustainability, and community has earned us national recognition—and a loyal following among both locals and travelers alike. From sourcing ethical, high-scoring beans to roasting with precision in our downtown Vancouver roastery, we strive to craft coffee experiences that are both elevated and approachable.
From Farmers Markets to National Stage
The roots of Kafiex were planted at local farmers markets, where the rich aroma of freshly roasted coffee first began to draw curious crowds. In 2018, Matthew and Seidy turned their weekend passion into a full-fledged roastery in the heart of downtown Vancouver, WA.
- Matthew, a certified Q-Arabica Grader, earned 4th place in the 2024 and 4th in the 2025 United States Roasting Championships.
- Seidy, a standout in the barista world, placed 8th in the 2024 and 7th in the 2025 United States Barista Championship.
