We love sharing our roasts through every bag we ship, but stepping inside one of our Vancouver, WA locations is a different experience entirely — the smell of fresh-roasted beans, the sound of the slow bar, conversations with the team that sourced and roasted what's in your cup.

In April 2026, our waterfront Gastro Café was ranked #37 on The World's 100 Best Coffee Shops list for North America, Central America, and the Caribbean — out of more than 4,600 coffee shops evaluated by professional judges and public voting, announced at World of Coffee San Diego (Vancouver Business Journal; The World's 100 Best Coffee Shops). Kafiex was also named Roast Magazine's 2026 Micro Roaster of the Year, an internationally competitive award recognizing sourcing, roasting practice, sustainability, and community impact (Vancouver Business Journal).

Two people are behind most of what happens in the cup: co-founder Seidy Selivanow placed 7th nationally at the U.S. Barista Championship, and co-founder Matthew Selivanow placed 4th nationally at the U.S. Coffee Roasters Championship (Vancouver Business Journal). The Coffee Lab: Where It Started

Our original location sits in the heart of downtown Vancouver, right beside the Vancouver Farmers Market. It's where Kafiex began — first as a farmers market stand, before growing into a full roastery café (OregonLive). Baristas here are ready to talk through brewing methods, answer questions, and help you find a coffee to take home. Expect patio seating, park views, and a relaxed pace — bring your dog.

The Gastro Café: Our Waterfront Flagship

Along the Vancouver waterfront, the Gastro Café is where our most ambitious coffee program lives. The slow bar runs the largest siphon setup in the Pacific Northwest alongside roughly eight pour-over options at any given time, including Cup of Excellence winners and experimental processing methods. The espresso bar features house-made chocolate sauce and Mexican caramel, and the space is built around international music and art — including a 23-foot mural inspired by a Mexican coffee farm, created by artist Nikki Cade (Kafiex Visit Us). It's also the only location with a full breakfast and brunch menu, served daily.
