This freeze-dried instant coffee is made with the same washed El Cuarenteño lot featured in our Mexico whole-bean offering. Grown by smallholders in Nayarit and produced through Grupo Terruño Nayarita, the coffee is roasted by Kafiex before being professionally brewed and freeze-dried.

The result is a smooth, comforting cup with milk chocolate, caramel, and warming spices. Each box contains six individually portioned packets. Just add hot water for a clean and flavorful cup without a brewer, grinder, or additional equipment.

What Makes It Specialty?

Most commercial instant coffee is produced with an emphasis on volume and convenience. Ours begins with traceable specialty coffee from El Cuarenteño in Nayarit, Mexico.

Kafiex roasts the coffee to highlight sweetness, balance, and comforting chocolate character. It is then brewed and freeze-dried, removing the water while preserving the soluble coffee and its flavor.

When rehydrated, the cup retains the milk chocolate, caramel, and warming-spice profile of the roasted coffee in a format that can be prepared almost anywhere.

Single-Origin Nayarit Coffee

This coffee comes from El Cuarenteño, a coffee-growing community in the foothills of the Sierra de San Juan in Nayarit, Mexico.

The lot is produced through Grupo Terruño Nayarita and brings together coffee grown by smallholder members of the community. Its blend of traditional and modern varieties creates an approachable profile with sweetness, balance, and low perceived acidity.

How to Prepare Hot Coffee

1. Empty one packet into your cup.
2. Add 10–12 oz of water at 190–195°F.
3. Stir until completely dissolved.
4. Adjust the water amount to your preferred strength and enjoy.

Use 10 oz for a richer cup or 12 oz for a lighter profile.

How to Prepare Iced Coffee

1. Empty one packet into a cup.
2. Dissolve it completely in a small amount of water at 190–195°F.
3. Add cold water and ice to reach your preferred strength.
4. Stir and enjoy.

Storage and Shelf Life

Store unopened packets in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and moisture.

When properly stored, the coffee has a two-year shelf life. Refer to the printed best-by date on the package.
