Colombia Nativo Nogales – Caturra Natural + Mosto

$28.00

Light roast. Reserve limited release.

Sweet orange, peach, and tropical fruit come together in Nativo Nogales, a Caturra coffee from the Hernández family at Los Nogales in Colombia. Our light roast brings forward brown sugar sweetness, gentle acidity, and an inviting fruit character that makes this Reserve release easy to enjoy every day.

Berry-like aromas greet you in the dry grounds, followed by sweet citrus and peach in the cup. The acidity is mild but present, with a pleasant finish that invites another sip.

Producer and Origin

Led by Oscar Fernando Hernández, Los Nogales combines generations of family coffee-growing experience with a focus on research and carefully managed fermentation. The farm is located in Pitalito, Huila, in the mountains of southern Colombia. We sourced this limited release through Forest Coffee.

Natural + Mosto Processing

Ripe cherries are selected and sorted by density. Forest Coffee describes a thermal shock treatment of 80°C for 20 seconds, followed by rapid cooling, before 96 hours of anaerobic fermentation.

The mosto starter is a pre-fermented liquid collected from an earlier batch of the same coffee variety. It carries native microorganisms into the next fermentation. The coffee is then mechanically dried for two to four days and stabilized for 15 days before shipment from origin.
